Interested in science fiction and fantasy that explores our interactions with nature? Then this panel is for you!
3 faculty members from Dalhousie University and the audience will discuss how classic and contemporary Sci-Fi (literature, film, tv, etc.) represents the environment, human development, and how both are changing.
Some subjects open for discussion include the way Sci-Fi explores human evolution, the rise of the genre of “climate fiction” or “cli-fi,” utopian/dystopian Sci-Fi, and the possible futures of human effects on the environment and vice versa.
