The United Nations Conference on Environment and Development (UNCED), also known as the Rio de Janeiro Earth Summit, the Rio Summit, the Rio Conference, and the Earth Summit (Portuguese: ECO92), was a major United Nations conference held in Rio de Janeiro from 3 to 14 June in 1992.
I was in Japan at the time, working as a staff editor at the Daily Yomiuri English-language newspaper belonging to the Yomiuri Shimbun main newspaper in Japanese, same building. Covering the Rio Summit for the Daily Yomiuri was American reporter Bruce Brock, also a staff editor at the Daily Yomiuri in Tokyo, and he was picked by the main editor to fly to Rio and cover the meetings in person, and he sent back reports daily via fax or telegram or internet. My job at the time was to locate Bruce's articles on the internet and give them to the main editors at our paper who would then edit them for the next day's edition. 1992. I'm now in Taiwan in 2019 and trying to track Bruce Brock down. Does anybody know how I can find him? i want to locate his original reports that appeared under his byline in the Daily Yomiuri.
