- ''The Road to Nowhere'' is a cli-fi page-turner from an Australian novelist worth watching. Shapiro started the novel in Greece and then finished it in Australia some ten years later, and it's now part of a strong showing of cli-fi among Australian writers, from James Bradley to Cat Sparks. With Donald Trump in power in the USA as the President now, well, soon, as of January 20, 2017, things look a bit iffy for progress on the right against climate change worldwide, but novels can speak up for the battle we face and add some empathy and thoughtfulness to the discussion. Shapiro has done this well in this debut novel. Bravo!

Evan Shapiro in Australia has written a very good cli-fi novel. Check it out online here and at Amazon.
